ABOUT THE POSITION

OAM + i’move is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation team. This role collaborates with Physical Therapists to provide rehabilitation treatments and procedures. PTAs carry out routine therapy functions, document treatment progress, and modify specific treatments according to patient status within treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver high-quality direct patient care through therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, modalities, and other interventions.
  • Instruct and assist patients as they perform exercises or functional activities designed to restore physical function and reduce pain.
  • Observe patient responses during treatment and report progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Communicate with rehabilitation staff and caregivers to coordinate and support treatment plans.
  • Document services and patient progress according to clinical and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Skills & Competencies: Excellent customer service and patient care skills, strong communication and teamwork abilities, ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, commitment to patient-centered care, and a growth mindset with interest in continuing education. 
  • Education & Experience: Associate’s degree or certification from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, current PTA licensure/certification.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching, and the ability to assist with lifting patients or equipment (occasionally up to 50 lbs with assistance).
